Yes. ErgoRich is a dual-extracted mushroom powder made from 100% fruiting bodies. We don’t label simple dried or freeze‑dried material as “extract”. Our powder is a true extract that’s gently dried for easy daily use.

Fruiting bodies contain concentrated levels of the compounds associated with functional mushroom benefits. Mycelium is typically grown on grain and difficult to separate completely, which can dilute the final product.

There is not enough evidence that inclusion of mycelium in a functional mushroom product is beneficial. Mycelium is grown on grain and it’s virtually impossible to separate the mycelium from the grain. This dilutes the effectiveness of the final product. At Touchwood Mushrooms we’re about results and good health outcomes, which is why we only use the whole fruit body.

Yes. Many people enjoy pairing ErgoRich with Chaga for additional antioxidant support, Lion’s Mane in the morning for focus, or Reishi in the evening for relaxation.

Our experience in mushroom extraction has led us to conclude that the best way to gain the complete benefits of mushroom supplements is through our dual-extraction method. We haven’t seen any additional benefits in encapsulation of the mushroom extract. Capsules and tablets also require additional ingredients to be taken in by the body. Our preference has always been to deliver the highest level of beneficial mushroom extract from 100% fruit body, and with the lowest level of alcohol to act as a carrier and for preservation.

We do not recommend freeze dried mushrooms as a base for liquid or powdered supplement products. With freeze drying, you will not get access to all the vital compounds available in a dual-extracted product. Our experience is that freeze dried products are a weakened product compared to a fully extracted mushroom.
