Organic Shiitake Mushroom Powder

While individual experiences vary, most people report noticing improvements in energy and stamina within 2-4 weeks of consistent use. As with all natural supplements, the benefits tend to build gradually with regular use.

We use a unique dual-extraction process and only 100% fruit body mushrooms in our powder extracts. We prioritise potency, purity and bioavailability in every batch. We don’t freeze dry our mushrooms and call this an extracted medicinal mushroom as we consider this an inferior process.

Shiitake powder is remarkably versatile. You can add it to soups, stews and other meals, blend it into smoothies or add to hot drinks such as coffee or tea. The mild, earthy flavour complements most beverages and foods.

Our powder extract concentrates the beneficial compounds through dual-extraction, providing therapeutic levels of active ingredients that would be difficult to achieve through eating fresh mushrooms alone.

While Shiitake is generally well-tolerated, we always recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before starting any new supplement, especially if you're taking medications or have underlying health conditions.

The mushrooms we use in our premium liquids and powders are grown in two places – on our farm in Western Australia and in organically certified, dedicated mushroom facilities in China.

It’s important to remember that China is the birthplace of medicinal mushrooms, having been used in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. China grows 87% of the world’s mushrooms, producing some of the most potent medicinal mushrooms available.

Our focus has always been on growing – and sourcing – the highest quality mushrooms for our products, whether from Australia or elsewhere. All of our imported products are triple checked by the FDA and Australian customs. Our products are sourced from clones of mushrooms that are guaranteed to contain the beneficial compounds that functional mushrooms are known for.

There is not enough evidence that inclusion of mycelium in a functional mushroom product is beneficial. Mycelium is grown on grain and it’s virtually impossible to separate the mycelium from the grain. This dilutes the effectiveness of the final product. At Touchwood Mushrooms we’re about results and good health outcomes, which is why we only use the whole fruit body.

Our experience in mushroom extraction has led us to conclude that the best way to gain the complete benefits of mushroom supplements is through our dual-extraction method. We haven’t seen any additional benefits in encapsulation of the mushroom extract. Capsules and tablets also require additional ingredients to be taken in by the body. Our preference has always been to deliver the highest level of beneficial mushroom extract from 100% fruit body, and with the lowest level of alcohol to act as a carrier and for preservation.
